The cows are organic 3d objects designed by nature with curves. In a dazzling environment, the challenge was to cover them in hard-edged, geometric colour fields that could behave optically amidst the dazzled backdrop.

Patrons would climb all over and under the cows, riding them, standing in them, pushing them over, and putting as many people in them as possible. At night, people would move the cows, put them on top of signs, steal them and take them back to the campsites. Sometimes, people would play rough, resulting in a high attrition rate as damaged and broken cows were retired from the field. Less than ten cows out of 35 were left standing after three days.
